By road: From the south -  follow the A9 past Blair Atholl and over the Drumtochter Pass. After the A889 turning for Dalwhinnie continue for another 10miles (16km) then turn left on the B9150 signposted “Newtonmore”.  You will see Craigellachie House  on your left  after 1.5miles (2km) just beyond the junction with the A86. If you pass the “Braeriach Hotel” you’ve gone too far! Turn in the gate immediately before the house and you will see the hostel behind it.

From the north - follow the A9 past Aviemore. Take the A86 through Kingussie then after another 3 miles you will reach Newtonmore.  Continue through the village and Craigellachie House is the white house on your right just before the junction with the B9150.  If you pass the “Glen Hotel” you’ve gone too far.

The hostel is behind Craigellachie House which is the first white building in Newtonmore when coming from the south. Once you arrive please ring the cowbell by the back door of the white house.
